Function

This safety barrier product is suitable for intrinsically safe applications. The device is used to transmit digital signals (from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts) from the field area to the safe area. The dual passive transistor outputs are controlled via the input. The operating mode can be inverted via a switch, and the line fault detection function can be disabled. The second output function can be configured via a switch as either a signal output or a fault output. Faults are indicated according to NAMUR NE44 by an LED indicator and a separate collective fault signal output.
